Hi, I'm Samuel Njoroge Kibandi!

About Me
I am a product-driven Systems, data and Cloud Engineer from Nairobi, Kenya. I map out digital systems where stable infrastructure directly solves localized commercial bottlenecks.
Co-founding Bazelink taught me what it takes to scale real product. I was involved in architecturing our core workflows, managing real-time transactional message syncing with local fintech ledgers like M-Pesa and decoupling processing lines with asynchronous worker configurations via Redis.
With my digital livestock system, Smart Farm Platform, I shifted focus to agritech(Reproduction, health, produce and feeds). I built systems to replace manual ledger tracking for dairy farmers—handling complex persistence states, background event scheduling via Celery and custom local RAG knowledge bases using the Gemini API.

Current Core Focus
Analyzing complex local market gaps to architect intuitive, high-utility digital retail and fintech software systems.
Designing robust modular monoliths and microservice fabrics optimized for network resilience and zero server downtime.
Building automated data processing pipelines and custom RAG frameworks using AI models to unlock real-world automation.
Engineering ultra-reliable, transaction-safe localized systems designed to scale digital businesses across Africa and worldwide.

Bazelink E-commerce
Multi-vendor digital commerce & automated payment pipeline
Developed and maintained a multi-vendor e-commerce platform that enables businesses to showcase products, process digital payments and manage online sales. The platform supports real-time order processing, inventory management and M-Pesa payment integration, serving over 200 registered users.
- >Scaled platform infrastructure to support 200+ registered active vendors
- >Integrated M-Pesa payments using Safaricom Daraja API with instant callback handling
- >Designed decoupled service architecture for maintainability and future scaling
- >Implemented Redis caching and queue-based processing using BullMQ
- >Optimized database queries resulting in faster page and transaction response times
- >Automated order processing and payment verification workflows
System Architecture Patterns
Modular Monolith
High cohesion, zero network latency for core business workflows.
- +Low deployment complexity with single-pipeline delivery.
- +Strong ACID compliance and straightforward transactional boundaries.
- +Zero inter-module network overhead.
- -Scaling requires scaling the entire monolith instance.
- -Risk of domain coupling if module boundaries are not strictly enforced.

Is Modular Monolithic the Answer?
Evaluating modular monoliths as a balanced architecture choice for early-stage infrastructure and scalability.
